I cooked a roast dinner for the kids this evening. My late wife would have been unimpressed on account of a lack of mashed potatoes next to the roast potatoes. It's difficult to impress an Irish country girl with a roast dinner. #widowhood #continuingBonds

I don't care. Roast potatoes are a superior roast accompaniment.

13yo made Yorkshire puddings. There was gravy.

@feijoa My daughter once complained that there were "too many vegetables" on a Sunday dinner.
Considering she is semi vegetarian, I found it hilarious.
We love veggies, especially from the garden.
Swede, carrots, broccoli and sprouts today.
And roast potatoes, but bought in. alongside roast pork and crackling with apple sauce.
