Aparrently I have never taken #amtrak from SF to LA on a Sunday or I would have remembered #BART doesn’t start running until 8AM to Oakland, and the ferry doesn’t start until 9:20AM. The #coaststarlight #11 leaves at 9:09 from #OKJ. $30 Lyft across the Emperor Norton bridge it is!
If the Emperor Norton Bay Skyway connecting the already built east span with the proposed west span existed, I would have gladly biked from SF to Oakland. But noooo, that won’t be built until 2033 at the earliest. https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/bay-skyway-new-cycling-path-across-entire-bay-19858629.php
On the bright side, the lady who is usually here to wrangle Amtrak riders at OKJ seems to have Sunday off. She’s like a high-strung sheep dog lining people up a half hour before the train arrives, and woe to those who dare to sit at the benches and wait. She will badger you into submission.
