One day of highway riding was so terrible compared to the 2 days of loose gravel roads. I did not miss the fear of death while being passed at 100km/h, or countless dead animals, or garbage thrown out of the window, or extra wide trailers.

You build a tourist destination, accessible via 1 road and you don't even run a bus to it? There are no parallel roads, paths, or rail? You're building and reinforcing car dependency. I don't think I'm going in the direction of Port Renfrew again any time soon.
@Anibyl I hear you - I ride a lot on quite busy roads but nothing quite like that and try to get off them as quickly as possible. Fortunately around here there are a lot of old main roads which are mostly avoided by drivers thanks to newer motorways and A-roadsβ¦
I can ride to work on gravel and segregated infra but it takes an extra 90 minutes I donβt have.
Also - your cockpit is really wonderful!
