9/11 has some extra significance for Akamai, as a co-founder, Danny Lewin, was on American flight 11 and was believed to have been stabbed trying to stop the hijacking. Former Akamai employee Gogi Gupta coordinated the Boston area tributes and suggested tags for Instagram (911Memorial) X and TikTok (Sept11Memorial) and #TributeInLights and #neverforget911.
