“You shouldn’t celebrate his death.”
He celebrated the deaths of Black and Brown people daily. He is a nazi. You are a nazi sympathizer.

No celebration. Just watching chickens coming home to roost, like Malcolm said.

Fake virtue signaling and demanding empathy for a man who said “empathy is for the weak” and whose actual last words were violent anti-black and anti-trans dogwhistles is absolutely delusional.

Having pity for a man who would gladly try to kill you for not being white is insane.

Some of you are so concerned with looking like “good people” and being perceived as a “nice person” that you’re going to excuse White violence against black and trans people to publicly mourn a certified nazi. Or make yourself appear to be a “better person,” when in actuality, you’re no better than KKKirk himself.

Demanding sympathy for documented nazis makes you nazi sympathizers, and some of the worst humans on this earth.

Paradox of intolerance is up. No rest or mourning for the wicked.

@ErickaSimone I am of the radical opinion that killing Nazis is a net social good, actually.
@Lana apparently killin gnatzis is a controversial opinion for some reason and I’m just trying to figure out why.

@ErickaSimone @Lana In my father's time "the only good Nazi is a dead one" was mainstream option. This was WWII and and its aftermath.

There were popular songs in that war with titles like "let's put the axe to the Axis"

@LukefromDC @Lana let me go play chumbawamba’s “Nazi” right fast.

@ErickaSimone @Lana

My father told me that the most important work he did in his life was killing Nazis.

@ceartas @Lana your dad is a real one.

@ErickaSimone @Lana

Growing up, most of my friend’s fathers served in WWII. Both of my parents served. My friend Joey’s dad served, in the Wehrmacht. He deserted, and fled to Spain with his Jewish bride. He was one of the Boy Scout leaders, and the most vocal Antifascist of all the dads. I lament that so many of my generation, the children of those who served, seem to have forgotten the horrific lessons of that war.

@ErickaSimone There's a whole bunch of bitches out here who need to read Karl Popper. Immediately.
@TheJen SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE THESE PEOPLE READ POPPER

@ErickaSimone @TheJen

Fuck me...

Say someone has never read Karl Popper and wanted to...

Where... Is... Is there a good _starting_ place?

@ErickaSimone @TheJen

Is `In Search of a Better World` a good place to start?

@401matthall @TheJen the open society and its enemies had a chokehold on me in college. Start there.

@ErickaSimone

Perfect. Thanks for the response!

<3

@401matthall @ErickaSimone @TheJen I guess for those people just that one bit about tolerance was meant :)

@ErickaSimone People tried to pull that shit with me yesterday. I reminded them I heard no outcry when it was black and trans women getting shot in their homes no demands for justice when kids die at school. I didn't hear "this isn't right" while people were kidnapped and shipped to concentration camps. Everyone keeps telling me to shut up or let it go or I'm stupid about all this.

I ain't never been a nice or good person, I'll be happy and shut up when all of these shit rags get thrown away.

If you are worried about looking like a "good person" after Kirk's murder consider what your duty is to oppose those who would hurt the vulnerable members of society (and profit from it!)

@ErickaSimone

@ErickaSimone no pity for him, but I kinda wish he were alive (and never shot) so that you wouldn't have people falling over themselves to whitewash his positions and acting like he was harmless for poisoning people's minds -- except, they definitely did that anyways :\
@caitp yeah that was gonna happen regardless sis. lol.

@caitp @ErickaSimone Oh, in an ideal world he would have been found dead wearing two wetsuits and with a dildo up his ass [1]. But in these trying times you take what you can get.

[1] This actually happened to someone. Someone who would have no doubt agreed with CK on everything.

@kentenmakto @caitp @ErickaSimone

Rev. Gary Aldridge. Now, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time... A long time.

@caitp
"Whitewash". Don't know why but that made me laugh.
@ErickaSimone

@ErickaSimone In his own words he told us how to behave in precisely this scenario 🤷🏿‍♂️

Ricardo Harvin (@[email protected])

If you choose to express any empathy for him, or any antipathy towards the inevitability of gun violence, then you are callously disregarding his beliefs and disrespecting so much of the work he worked so long and hard to accomplish. He disbelieved in empathy and promoted the acceptance of gun violence as inevitable and necessary. #CharlieKirk

Mastodon 🐘
@ricardoharvin whole lot of oh well energy.

@ErickaSimone Oops!

Charlie "Monkey's Paw" Kirk

@ErickaSimone Well said.
Charlie Kirk clearly identified himself as a teacher. He died as he taught.
Having empathy for him would be against what he taught, so nobody is in the right to demand it.
There is clear difference between stating the obvious and celebrating his death.
@gimulnautti openly said gun deaths were necessary for a true second amendment. Oh well. Live by the sword.
@ErickaSimone
In case it was a politician that said that shit the best response would be to file an official petition for a new public holiday to celebrate it...

@ErickaSimone

I don't celebrate his death, I celebrate his transition into something which produces value in the world: Fertilizer.

@Grimblob wow. He actually ended up doing something useful with his…. Non life.

@ErickaSimone

The best take I've seen:

I don't support murdering Charlie Kirk, but Charlie Kirk did.

@Uair I’m* seeing a lot “PROTECT YA NECK CHARLIE” from the hip hop kids and it’s giving me peace.
@Uair @ErickaSimone "It's what he would have wanted," said in the most patronizing tone I can muster.
@ErickaSimone I so agree w/you Ms. Simone, I keep stating "You reap what you sow". And here is a question to everyone: Has anyone heard any remorse about the SCHOOL shooting in Colorado yesterday about an hour after Kirk's assassination. Shame on our Media and Public figures for their practices of priorities when dealing with mankind its sickening.
I'm very sorry for impeding on your post but the TRUTH you replied with hit home with me.
@true_democratic_veteran nothing about the school issue, and still nothing for the two senators that were assassinated in Minnesota. Sad times.
@ErickaSimone 👍🏿 👏🏽 👏🏾 👍🏾
This is so true what your speaking ma'am and I thank you for sharing your voice
@ErickaSimone Yeah I won’t celebrate his murder but I can celebrate his death

@ErickaSimone Gawd it must have pained Biden and Obama to have to be classy about this parasite's disposal. But classy they were. They had no choice.
I have a choice and I choose to call the flushing of a turd an act of hygeine.

Now it's down to how the Kleptocracy Frat Party running the GOP use it to their advantage.

@megatronicthronbanks I would assume they didn’t even write it. They had staffers do that for them. And even that had to suck. Flush the diarrhea already.

Going to be wild watching them turn this when a white man is the suspect. Call is coming from inside the house people.

@ErickaSimone

I'd rather talk about how all his right wing buddies are a bunch of whiners.

I really want to say, If you can't take the political violence when it hits you, maybe you should stop trying to incite it.

Frigging right wing whiners who think consequences don't happen to them.

@alienghic that’s how most abusers operate. When you give them a single ounce of the same energy and abuse they give you, they cry and try to manipulate your feelings. Weird behavior. Won’t work here. Fuck him.

@ErickaSimone

Agreed.
My new retort is "What makes this school shooting any different than all the other ones that have happened since Columbine?"
and
"This wouldn't have happened had David Hogg been listened to."
-
We'll get through this.

@Anonomouse1981 I’m leaning into “this is what he would have wanted. Gotta protect that 2A.”
