So I've previously joked with @handmade_ghost about forming the #AutoimmuneBirdersCollective (ABC).

What would you like the ABC to be? Do you need support, silliness, or something else?

Is there a way you'd like to tie it in with Birdability Week Oct 20-26th?

Birdability

I think I'd love the #AutoimmuneBirdersCollective to be a combo of support and silliness/shenanigans.

One of the first things I'd love advice with is #MCAS friendly #SPF I can wear anytime I go outside.

A lot of my conditions & medications make me sun sensitive. I used to be ok for short periods, and longer periods with a #UPF 50 hat or hoodie. Lately even a few minutes of direct sun causes irritation or worse, even late in the day when the #UVIndex is low!

@moss I had a daycare that asked families to pool money for one sunscreen for all the infants for simplicity, and the one they found that reliably worked for all those little sensitive ones over the years was ThinkBaby mineral. I still use it, even for myself

@moss It would be great to share accessible places and/or we've found helpful--like ABC "hacks." If it's not just for autoimmune-forward comrades in birding but for visibility, it could be neat to make invisible disability visible (to help folks understand barriers to birding that might not seem as "obvious," if that makes sense?).
