So nixos has officially killed distrohopping for me.

I am trying Debian 13 on my laptop and although I have bootstrap-scripts to set things up.

But It still feels like a step backwards.

@frankper Same here. As I’ve read it somewhere, maybe NixOS isn’t great, but anything else is worse.

The idea of having to "re-install manually" my environment seems daunting now that everything is setup with Disko, NixOS and Home-Manager.

@Erwyn That is so true. I am going crazy installing packages and dealing with random dependencies.

I am getting a "How did I use linux as my main desktop for over a decade like this" vibe 😅
