Hey Fedi Friends, anyone have experience fighting with YouTube over copyright bullshit? I’m not entirely convinced this isn’t a troll and it’s taken down my whole channel, including some other endangered shows and my podcasts.

My main concerns being that I’d think Hasbro would have in-house lawyers, not some solo rando, and the original copyright ping when I uploaded them was from Hasbro Studios, not Hasbro, Inc.

I am mad about this in the way I feel mad about things that affect me personally but are symptoms of bigger societal problems that I’m also mad about, like being super hot from a climate change-driven heat wave. I am mad that my channel was nuked and also mad that it was caused by the enshittification of YouTube and also mad that this show was shoved in a closet in the first place after so many people put so much work into it because corporations don’t really even try anymore.

Are you even doing media preservation if you haven’t at least once had your entire YouTube account nuked from space from copyright claims?

BTW this channel still has Micronauts up, though they’re uploading slower than I did so they only have half the series so far. Go watch the show Hasbro apparently REALLY doesn’t want you to see!
