Lots of neurodivergent folk feel things VERY intensely. Which can be hard sometimes. But it doesn't make us lesser. It doesn't make us "drama queens." It doesn't make us wrong.

It can be overwhelming, tiring, and sometimes even embarrassing. But being shitty to ourselves about it doesn't make it easier to deal with. Accepting that we feel things super intensely can help us learn to cope when it happens!

And, sometimes feeling things super intensely can be freaking AWESOME! Not for all of us, we're not Borg, no one's experience is universal. But I wouldn't give up the enthusiasm, passion, and joy I feel so intensely just because I also feel less fun things just as strongly!

@Elaurian_Neuroqueering Can I borrow one of these to post on my FB, with the credit on it?
Yes, please do, thank you so much! 🥰💜
@Elaurian_Neuroqueering I remember riding my MTB through the local woods, on a super cloudy day. I was on a straight, only slightly down, rolling fast, through the layer of clouds, when the Sun cam out higher up and the rays were visible in front of me and all the way. It looked like I was riding through a rainbow, or some crystal tunnel, stunningly beautiful, unexpected, striking. (1/2)

@Elaurian_Neuroqueering ... I think I cried a little, and I then cried again a day later when I tried to explain the experience to my therapist and realised that I wasn't able to, and that the feeling was fading.

Likely the most beautiful 2 minutes of my life so far!
