The FedEx CEO’s story is a really good reminder that sometimes it’s worth it to do a civil suit even if that person doesn’t have a lot of money at the time.

Maybe the family of the passenger he killed in college did, but they might have assumed that some idiot college kid wouldn’t pay on a wrongful death suit. But if they had received a judgment and kept it active they could have collected years later when he became super wealthy.

Also it’s HORRIFIC that he did a hit and run killing a black man in 1975 while ON BAIL and he got $250 cash bail for that crime, and he was never even charged with killing George C. Sturghill.
