Just did a Noctua fan mod to my radio power supply. I think it came out really well! Also, the fan that was in it from the factory was venting downwards, heating the underside of the power supply when it was running, so I flipped it to properly draw from underneath and vent out the top. Should be quite the improvement in sound and cooling!

@harvestmalletus the amount of airflow in each area of the case is going to change significantly with a reversed fan. This could lead to hotspots you didn't have before. I'd go with the original direction on the assumption that the original direction worked well enough.
@ve4bre That's fair! I've currently got a temp probe inserted in one of it's vents to monitor how it's doing, and checking on it regularly. At least for the moment, it's doing well. But that is a good point to keep an eye out for, which I certainly will be! Appreciate the advice!
@harvestmalletus I hope it works out! I'm a frequent user of Noctua fans. I expect it'll be nice and quiet, at least.
