"We're excited to partner with Peter Mui and the existing #FixitClinic network and the City of Boston's Environment Department to bring you Artisans Asylum's inaugural Fixit Clinic!

Fixit Clinics are do-it-together community-based exploration workshops staffed by volunteer Fixit Coaches who generously share their time, tools and expertise to consult with you on the disassembly, troubleshooting, and repair of items.

Bring your broken belongings -- electronic gadgets, vital appliances, cherished toys, bicycles, fabric items, jewelry etc.-- for assessment, disassembly, and hopefully repair! Fixit Coaches will be available for consultation: we will provide workspace, specialty tools, and guidance to help you disassemble and troubleshoot your item. Whether you fix your item or not, you'll learn more about how it was manufactured and how it worked, ready to share your new-found confidence and insight with your friends, neighbors, and the community at large."

@ted this is the first one at A2 and it was advertised on Meta platforms, but afaict there's no good email list for the public - however, there's another one October in Roxbury through city of #Boston: boston.gov/fixit-clinics #repairCafe #FixitClinic

@chrisamaphone @ted Spouse and I had a really good time at the #RepairCafe/#fixitclinic at #ArtisansAsylum in #Boston - its likely they'll host another one, i'll try and give more notice should that happen, but yeah, follow their socials to keep an eye out ^_^
