I've had a cough for the last few days, but after a few pieces of #Finnish #Salmiakki, I've felt much better.

I'm fairly sure that salty liquorice was originally made by pharmacies to be used for cough, but people got more-than used to the taste, and thus got turned to a candy sold in food stores.

Fazer's Supersalmiakki is one of the older products, and thus probably closer to the original receipt with health benefits than most salty liquorice candies sold in stores.
