People who refuse to consult with & listen to valid, lived experienced voices from #PeopleWithDisabilities are folks committed to their #ableism. Straight up.
Don't make excuses for #ableists who don't care about #DisabledPeople & don't want to make any changes to contribute to a more diverse & #accessible world/community.
I pay attention. Even when I don't always call out every self committed ableist here on the #Fediverse. I am closely watching, making notes of who refuses to be less ableist. I'm not the only disabled advocate here - paying attention.
I'm very aware of many unrepentant #ableists here.
@PhoenixSerenity There are disappointingly many people who can't tell the difference between a reason and an excuse.
You can have a logical justification that isn't an ethical justification and vice versa.
Expense might be the reason you don't want to build accessibility but it's not an excuse. It's still the right thing to do even if it's expensive or difficult.
