Today's also the day Kid Eternity died before his time and gained his powers.

When the 1976 DC Calendar was published, a retcon claimed Freddy and Kid Eternity were long-lost siblings. Despite that they were published by separate companies, Fawcett for the Marvel Family and Quality for Kid Eternity.

A sign the "DC Universe," unlike Marvel, is made up of a hodgepodge of companies DC's bought over the decades. Maybe one reason its attempts to hammer everything together into a single universe, especially since "Crisis," has been hit and miss.

The "Junior in the future" story (published in 1944) is set in the year 2044, and reveals Freddy's still alive, but retired as a superhero in 2019.
