Thusly describing "Disabling".
I have handicaps from physical limitations, medical conditions, injuries etc, quite literally some are crippling.
Also passing "A Certain Age", oh and I am QAF.
BUT I am "Disabled" only by "barriers".
A world designed for a very narrow definition of humanity - "straight" white adult men - is in itself a colossal barrier in that it excludes close to most of humanity*.
Medical for example - racist attitudes & even equipment (pulseox notably), on top of misogyny, a complete ignorance of differences ...
*Given humans are fluid in every sense - race, sex, gender, sexuality; age even: given that biological and chronological age can be at odds.
But even if you look at patriarchal definitions, 51 percent female, probably 75 percent non white, up to half are children ...
