While it is very convenient to have YouTube Music in the web panel in @Vivaldi, YouTube's design team made a serious mistake in the design of the mobile view. A volume control is missing. 🤦‍♂️ Really very annoying. I wish there was an integrated multimedia control in Vivaldi similar to Chrome.

@epp There have already been some requests for media control built into the browser a few years ago. There is no need for another identical request. I don't think this feature will ever come. Unfortunately. It would be a great addition for anyone who enjoys consuming media content such as videos and music. 🤷‍♂️
@HalleAndert @epp I haven't had much luck with the feature request either. Someone always seems to come in to comment that it's not needed or there's a longer work around. Doing due diligence looking through the postings can be a hurdle too. I know that's the process Vivaldi picked, but I haven't had good experiences with it at all.

@cynical13 @HalleAndert Vivaldi obviously has no control over the way YouTube designs their pages.

Although, widening the web panel a little, will then display the volume/mute icon with its control.

@epp @cynical13 The argument makes little sense. Web panels are only practical as long as they are narrow and compact.

I wouldn't have to rely on the YouTube designers if I had the option of adjusting the tab or panel volume directly in the browser. After all, I can also mute a tab directly in the browser.

Google obviously manages to integrate such convenient functions. It is inexplicable to me why this is not possible with Vivaldi. As if the consumption of multimedia content were a niche market. 🙄

@HalleAndert @epp Brave does it, so does Zen.

@cynical13 @epp That's good to know. I'm not very familiar with these browsers. I wish Vivaldi would also integrate such great functions.

It makes perfect sense in the age of streaming services. Millions of people enjoy multimedia content online - even in their browser. It would be a real added value.

Maybe an equalizer for music lovers would also be something nice. Extensions like this are already available for the browser. I would love to have it integrated directly into the browser.
