@chadhill.bsky.social Not exactly sure what you mean by feed in this case, Chad. I've a bsky account but barely use it, so not familiar with all the terminology. Is this like a hashtag follow on Masto?

Hey Chris, sort of. Initially bsky didn’t have hashtag tracking. Instead there were only feeds. They are custom algorithms to show posts. You can subscribe to others or create your own. It can be as simple as following a single hashtag, but also can display posts that meet any number of criteria!

It’s really neat, so I follow several that I use all the time, that are focused on various flavors of photography. And I’ve built several that combine my own particular interests (like anything post that mentions an alternative process or large format terminology!). Can be really powerful.

I’m bridged on this account to mastodon, so I don’t know what happens if you click on the feed link from there! I also have a proper mastodon account. So maybe I’ll check! The customization of feeds is one of my favorite features of bsky. Can swipe between feeds depending on what I want to see.

@chadhill.bsky.social I did click on the feed link and got bounced into bsky (where I was presented with unspecified changes to multi-page privacy etc policies to agree to!).
