Alison Chaiken@icastico Checkout also Guedra Guedra from the same Sahel Sounds label. Their artist Mdou Moctar played the first concert I heard in 2021 after nearly two years. Sahel Sounds also sells fantastic DVDs of fever-dream magical realistic stories of the desert.

@icastico I love Sahel Sounds. To which tracks did you contribute? Besides Moctar's music, I thank him for announcing in the Club that he wouldn't play anymore until people stopped smoking. I caught his band twice at The Chapel in SF.
