I think that's what makes a game more lively, its side quests. I'm usually like that, finishing all the side quests first before going through the main storyline, especially if the quests are time-limited. How about you?

Quite the opposite: Doing the main storyline first. Then spending time with side quests.

I normally can't wait to know how the story continues.

But it also depends on the side quests. If they add more "flavour" to the lore, I also do them in between.
