Gibiru seems to be a good, bullshit free alternative to Google search, I've been using it for a week and it's working fine.

I need to ask: are they evil somehow?

@enriquericos What's the difference between #Gibiru and #DuckDuckGo?

@Flominator Gibiru shows you a list of results, nothing more. DuckDuckGo is shoving AI into everything, which bothers me to no end.

I didn't find anything else about Gibiru.

@enriquericos Thanks, I will test-drive it a bit. Some time ago https://www.etools.ch/ was looking very promising as well.

@Flominator Ha! I was looking at this and about to try etools https://www.searchenginemap.com

@enriquericos
Using #Gibiru as default search engine at the moment. The minimalistic output took me some time to get used to. It is sufficient for the majority of the queries. Mostly I go back to Google for the Books search.
@Flominator I'm still using Gibiru and I'm still surprised that it works, its minimalism is just what I wanted. But for images, news and anything that isn't web search, I use Google with the udm14 trick.
@enriquericos Good point, I also added that to my default Google search now
@Flominator I guess it'll stop working someday, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts
