Since I've been away from here for a bit, how about an introduction?

Hi there, I'm dAVE! I'm based in Seattle, WA, USA. I'm a dad that enjoys brewing coffee with one of my many coffee brewing toys. I also enjoy video games and reading science fiction.

As a creative outlet I like to make experimental electronic music and sound art. I mostly focus on making improvised pieces using my Roland SP404 MKII sampler and an array of effects pedals and instruments.

When making music I try to be in the moment as much as possible and just record and move on. I like to record what I'm doing down to stereo right away with no real mixing afterwards and very little mastering. Capturing the raw feeling of the moment is what is most important to me.

@n3wjack I have a Moka Pot too. I have only used it a couple of times, but it was fun. My main methods are my v60, Aeropress, or Chemex. I also have a French Press and a Colum Mini Dripper from Melodrip https://melodrip.co/

@n3wjack I also have a small espresso machine, but I haven't used it much recently. I need to get it set up again and play with that. Coffee brewing is super fun to me. 😀

@attksthdrknss I also have a small, cheap French press. It's nice of a quick coffee, but cleanup is a mess. The Aeropress seems to solve that problem nicely though.

@n3wjack The Aeropress is great all around as a coffee brewer. Clean up is really nice and not as messy as a french press for sure. The coffee puck and just be pushed right out into a compost or trash bin pretty simply. The cups it makes are pretty tasty too.
