Listened to a very interesting #CanPol podcast episode today, Beyond a Ballot's interview with #JenniByrne : https://open.spotify.com/episode/2zkPjjEYfJOxKhIhuxSMjo?si=jWULaZMHQ4CEVM5KYYYRjw

(Ms. Byrne, for those unaware, was campaign manager for the #CPC in #elxn45.)

The interview was friendly, but asked some hard questions, e.g., how did the Conservatives come second after being in supermajority territory? Was it a mistake not to pivot to an anti-Trump message? Should #PierrePoilievre stay on as leader? Why did he drop the glasses?

How did they lose Carleton? In retrospect, what do you wish you'd done differently?

Those are all important questions; the answers are well-expressed, but not really surprising to those who follow #CanPol.

There are two particular points that people may find more enlightening, about halfway through the interview: What happened to the coalition of voters supporting the #CPC? — They were at over 40%, but had to run ads to appeal to boomers. Where will the party go next?
