This is incredibly interesting - seamless emulation of Windows app in Linux!

winapps-org/winapps: Run Windows apps such as Microsoft Office/Adobe in Linux (Ubuntu/Fedora) and GNOME/KDE as if they were a part of the native OS, including Nautilus integration. Hard fork of https://github.com/Fmstrat/winapps/

@soheb
... except it only provides a pretty interface via RDP to an app that is actually running on a real windows install (VM or remote) ...
@aldarch3 @soheb I haven't had the chance to try it out fully, but for some folks that might be enough

@soheb Used to use this... It was interesting.

Nice to see it's still being developed at winapps-org

@daniel @soheb Was it good kind of interesting or the bad kind?

@soheb a bit buggy but OK kinda interesting.

I came to the conclusion that a straight rdp+VM situation was easier for me to manage and use before I swapped to Linux only tools
