I think I posted it back in February, but I was chuckling again at this barbershop ad found in the 1936 30th anniversary journal of the Kiever Revolutionary Branch 25 of the Arbeter Ring (!), a Jewish mutual aid society based in New York. "Haircuts and Finger Waving" teehee.

I couldn't find a direct photo of the barbershop but we can see the corner of it from the photo of the next building over, from the 1940 WPA tax photo.

It was only three short blocks from an immense communist Coop housing project in the #Bronx, hence the advertisement I suppose. Or maybe the owner was a member of this Arbeter Ring branch.
