For some reason there aren't many women who are suit actors in kaiju movies (there may be more in tv series tokusatsu, I dunno). The first one was Gyaos suit actor in the 90s Gamera movie (which feels really late). But the most memorable has to be Rie Ota here as Baragon and her angry cute GAO GAO roars.

I, like everyone, love Baragon in this movie. Mothra is okay. Godzilla is weird and demonic but great as a cursed monster.
King Ghidorah is... my least favorite version of him. It's just sad looking. Sort necks, small wings, over large heads. Feels like a knock off of itself.

Originally this movie was going to have Godzilla vs the three guardian monsters:
Varan, Angiras, and Baragon
That was changed necause someone thought having three barely known kaiju vs Godzilla didn't sound like a box office draw so Mothra and Ghidorah got subbed in.
But Baragon is the best part of his movie so imgine if we'd had Godzilla vs three big puppies!

I always forget how long the final act of this movie is. The pace ramps up all through out the movie and after the Baragon fight it moves at an even faster pace. But once Ghidorah goes gold everything seems to slow down. Like the wrestlers (kaiju) are all tired and it's rest holds in the corner (under water) for the last 20 minutes.
