I finally began watching the various sitcom episodes #ThomasBarbusca has been in and tbh a lot are so silly. I began at the beginning, back when he was about 8 (he’s 22 now), but first I watched a much more recent film #LuckiestGirlAlive. I had to be in the mood for that, but damn, it’s good. Love the main character and both actresses playing her at different ages. He’s very good too. An interesting character, though one of those overwritten fictional kids with too much wisdom

There are a few films I might miss cos they sound so heavy or grim, though interesting. There are some shows I can’t find and it’s also nice to find things included in my app subscriptions. I don’t need to see everything (I did with Griffin and the crush continues), but he’s so good in #TheMick and everything else, I wanted to catch up.

He fits my theory/trope of nice person cast as a bully. He was so sweet in the interview when he was a kid about the wet hot summer camp show.

It’s also lovely to hear his voice as it is now since even in the most recent thing I’d seen, Big Time Adolescence, it was different to now (he was about 15). Idk how much actors are changing their voice for roles (well, sometimes I do, but it depends if I’ve heard them as themselves). I haven’t found any recent interviews with him, though there are some from when he was a teenager.

Took me a while, but I realised Griffin rarely uses his real accent, though sometimes it’s in the mix whether purposefully or not. I think he’s got a fairly typical California accent, which I checked with a linguist’s video on YouTube cos I was that curious and had thought he sounds quite southern. Shows what a Brit knows of American accents.
