@darwinwoodka Any smaller server with moderated signups and good moderation is a good idea.
If you have a main interest, topic or ideology, find a server that aligns with that. Or maybe a local server from and for where you live could be nice.

Oh honestly I hate when bossy people say this. Mastodon.social is still standing. What can we say about all the servers that have come and gone in the last two years? I don't want to export and move my social media every 6 months. Telling everyone to get off of mastodon.social is performative nonsense.

I skipped .social and went straight to twt.cymru because I live in Wales, so a Welsh instance made sense
