Rewatching #Torchwood #ChildrenOfEarth with @Legopolis (he's watching it for @RadioFreeSkaro), and the elegance and subtlety of the writing in ep 1 are so good -- where was that in the last 2 seasons of #DoctorWho
Seriously, there wasn't a single "As you know, Bob" moment in the whole ep, and yet the viewer learns everything they need to know.

No way! Looked it up to remind myself which story that was. Knew of Capaldi’s earlier appearance in #DoctorWho before he became the Doctor, but I had missed he was in #Torchwood as well.
Hmmm need to rewatch Torchwood I think. Any chance of a “Lazy Torchwood” watch-along in the absence of new Doctor Who?
