@andrewbriscoe Nice photo. Reminds me of a visit to Norway. A beautiful hot day (30-35C) when we arrived at a nice little lake with a similar view. Stripped off and ran into the lake for a quick dip. I didn't know how quick to get out of it again. My knees/joints froze up almost instantly. The water was perhaps 4-6C. Happy I didn't dive in. That water looks a bit the same. Clear and very inviting.😎
@Scubyw Thank you. It wasn’t as hot but the water was pretty cold. A few people went skinny dipping and swimming but they didn’t stay in long. I took a nice long nap during the day and then hung out with this view for a few hours. Excellent place to spend a few days but I only had time this weekend for one night.
@andrewbriscoe Looks like a place I once knew outside of Aspen.
@philpetree Definitely plan to spend time in Colorado when I retire but haven’t been there yet. I hear it’s amazing.
@andrewbriscoe This is White River in Aspen, Colorado. I'm sure you'll see why I found them similar. (I used to run into and occasionally hike with John Denver here.)
@philpetree Oh wow. That’s beautiful!
@andrewbriscoe Colorado has scenery that will take your breath away around every bend in the road. Back in the early 80s, I owned a bar in Dillon and a few acres in El Jebel (back by the river). I loved my time in Colorado.
@andrewbriscoe Where is that? It must be cold there.
@Violla Russell Lake and Mount Jefferson in Oregon. Luckily it was pretty warm. We usually have a couple months of hot weather and no rain around this time of year.
@andrewbriscoe Amazing place, how beautiful nature is.
