🌟 Happy Unveiling Day! On June 25, 2015, the Baphomet statue was unveiled, symbolizing the importance of religious equality and freedom of expression. This monumental bronze statue reminds us that everyone deserves a voice, regardless of their beliefs. Let’s celebrate diversity and promote acceptance in our communities! 🤝✨ #UnveilingDay #Acceptance #ReligiousEquality #Baphomet #Tolerance #CelebrateDiversity #Kindness #ReligiousFreedom https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statue_of_Baphomet
@debby it wat telling that christians tried to destroy it...while still citing "religous freedom"

@debby it was*

my partner always says

" When Christians call for 'freedom of religion' they acttualy call for opression as they want the only ones that aew free to practice Religion"

@Noorvee I wish all people would understand that the world is not a zero-sum game. In a zero-sum scenario, one person's gain is another's loss, but this perspective doesn't apply to human rights and the freedom to pursue happiness. These are not finite resources like slices of a pie chart that diminish as more people partake. Instead, they are boundless and can expand infinitely. @altbot

@debby @altbot thats the point...

If trans women are allowed into the ladies room...nothing is taken from me...

So many people dont get that...and it stems from selfishness...

They dont want others to have more/equal rights as they fear they will loose rights...but that is not how that works...

@Noorvee Exactly right! I wholeheartedly agree. It shouldn't matter whether someone is trans or cis when it comes to basic human dignity and rights. The controversy surrounding the bathroom debate has always puzzled me. It's disheartening to see influential figures expressing views rooted in bigotry.

Upholding the rights and freedoms of others doesn't diminish our own; rather, it contributes to a more just, equitable, and harmonious society. Recognizing and respecting the inherent dignity and worth of every individual enriches us all. This creates an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and pursue their dreams.

By embracing this mindset, we can move beyond competition and scarcity, working together to build a world where everyone's potential is realized and celebrated. Let's continue to advocate for kindness, understanding, and equality for all.

@altbot @debby no i did not ask for an alt text...
@Noorvee 😃 Sorry, sometimes I like to post a picture and don't feel like writing alt-text. However, I believe it is very important to always have an image description so that blind individuals can follow the conversation. That's why I like to include alt-bot to get an auto-generated alt text.

@debby ah ok,

Im trying to add alt texts when i post about the movie i am watching:)

@debby The image features a semi-circular pie chart with multiple colored segments, including black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, light blue, and pink. The segments are arranged in a gradient-like pattern, with the black segment on the left and the pink segment on the right. The center of the pie chart is gray. To the right of the pie chart, there is a block of text in black font that reads: "Equal rights for others doesn't mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie." The text is aligned to the right and is positioned next to the pie chart. The background of the image is white.

@debby @Noorvee @altbot that I feel is a problem though, these people almost religiously believe in the zero sum game.

@debby @Noorvee @altbot

It's the ethical *responsibilities* that accompany those rights that rub so many people the wrong way. Those responsibilities do put a damper on how people can pursue their desires, and they're having none of it because propaganda brainwashed them into thinking those rights were unilateral and without strings.

No. "Your right to play music at 110 deciBels ENDS when it invades my home on the other side of a thin wall and infringes MY right to quiet enjoyment."

In that sense, it is very much a zero-sum game, and they want it all for themselves, ALL the rights and NONE of the responsibility.

@debby @Noorvee We seek equity, equality is good but it also implies everyone is at the same level to begin with which is not true. Equity gives everyone the same level of standing and while some will either gain or lose something everyone will be in the same position at the end.
@debby @Noorvee @altbot but less privilege, which some might deem part of their rights...
