Bowing under the bridge is a legit technique! I even used it in a piece one. And its piecing, ghostly, microtonal sound might even be especially appropriate.

True… I was instructed to do the same once playing an 18th century Scottish string quartet titled “The Sow’s Tail” (apparently the viola is the voice of the sow 🤷♂️)
If we can all agree it’s intentional, I can once again love the little tardigrade and its tiny cello.
I think we can assume it’s intentional: water bears don’t make mistakes.
