Trees are not seen as a climate solution because people like grass too much. Especially cow pasture.

@amazonrestore Meat is definitely driving deforestation in the Amazon (soja & other fodder)! Elsewhere like Europe the main driver is wood industry. Why we use centenarian trees rather than fast growing plants like bamboo is beyond me, clearly some lobbies keeping it that way (and yes, most of Europe is warm enough now to have bamboo growing as an invasive species!).
