aka: I am right and they are wrong.

Every now and then someone ask me to join some #XR protest: "This is so you, why don't you join?"

ME: Possibly, are we finally protesting personal responsibility and/in relation to/ the animal industry this time? Will the protest be (also) about animal agriculture subsidies this time?

THEM: ...

For all the amazing things that they do to draw attention to the #ClimateCrisis, @ExtinctionR is still a sad joke as long they stay deafeningly silent about the animal industry, as many of us long expected and recently was convincingly argued, quite probably the biggest problem affecting our climate/lives, although closely followed by our use of fossil fuels---especially because it is the easiest to solve because it's completely unnecessary, not to say unhealthy and terribly cruel.

How comfortable it must feel to protest the evil big fossil fuel industry "THEM", and how scary---bad for business/donations?---it must be to suggest we should just all make some minor changes in our lives to reduce/abandon our consumption of animal products.

So, maybe I should do more, right?

AIUI, XR/Climate change groups are concerned with / address the fossil fuel problem, and (they expect) Animal Rights groups (to) address the possibly more important but unpopular and much more inconvenient question of personal responsibility and moving to a plant based diet.

A convenient separation of concerns.

@janneke Don't look for reasons not to join protests, you will always find some. Look for reasons why you should join them! @ExtinctionR @extinctionrebellionnl
