Temporary name "Bernie” (German pronunciation) for Bernstein=amber after his eyes.
This young male has come to the yard several times in the last week and has come very close to us. Surprisingly, our otherwise very territorial boys tolerate him.
Seems to have been through a lot, but is otherwise healthy.
Having received his chip, Berni officially is part of the family now. Still at the vet for neutering, he will come into his new home on #caturday 😺
He is very friendly, allowed my partner and even me (big man) to pet him and almost all cats have already met him - some even exchanged "cat kisses" (while some were more shy, but none aggressive or panicked).
We suspect that he was abandoned at the highway parking lot nearby. Vet estimates him to be 3 years old.
