Join the Allston Brighton Health Collaborative, City of Boston, and Bluebikes for a 3.5-mile Bluebikes-only community bike ride on Saturday, July 19 at 11:00am. The route and pace are beginner friendly, particularly for folks new to biking and/or new to Bluebike-ing. We'll spend a good amount of time in the beginning going over how to use the Bluebikes and get you comfortable using them in safe environment before venturing out to the neighborhood. We will meet at the Herter Park Bluebikes station. Free Bluebikes coupons will be provided. The ride is expected to take around one hour and will end at Herter Park. Pizza will be provided after the ride. Free bike helmets are also available upon request. Detailed route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50144638 You must register to participate. We’ll be in touch with folks who registered with a ticket, and we’ll provide a rescheduled date as soon as we can! Thank you for your understanding, and many thanks to @allshewrotebooks and @kierankittycreative for their partnership! Still want to shop Read My Lips this weekend? Fear not, our friends at @allshewrotebooks are going to host us in their patio space this Saturday, July 19th from 1-4pm!".
I ended up joining for this #LupeFiasco x #MIT art tour - his project #GHOTIING is site specific - he wrote and recorded songs on site and about several sculptures displayed on campus. You can listen to the songs on the linked site. Like plein air painting compared to a location, you get quick notes about what the artist noticed. The tour also got us in to the #SolLewitt installation that is normally off limit to the general public.
I got sunburned forearms biking to campus, though. Oops.
