Every time I set up a new laptop with #opensuse #tumbleweed #linux, I am so excited about the power of #opensource. The little refurbished #lenovo #T14s I got only took 5 minutes to install from an old USB stick. I swear that I needed more time to unpack, locate an Ethernet cable and find my way in the BIOS to set up USB boot than the system itself took for installing. Awesome.

Anybody talking about #Win11 #Windows11 #microsoft Well, folks, Linux hardware will become much cheaper now.

@mfeilner same experience on my laptop.
My fav story: years ago MS eng to trained on Linux, takes cd, runs it, 20 min later asks me 'now what do we need to do?' My answer was to remote log in and demonstrate running software. He could not properly comprehend how easy it was

I just bought an old old Lenovo laptop with one of those mechanical clicky clicky hard drives, installed Linux on it, and it's at least a magnitude faster than the new Windows desktop at work! Not to mention, the Linux desktop is far easier to use and set up the way I want for maximum productivity. Why anyone chooses to use Windows boggles my mind 🤔
