Mal wieder ein seltener deutscher Post:

Liebes Ex-Ostdeutschland, wenn ich eine Fassbrause bestelle, möchte ich auch eine Fassbrause und nicht eure pinke Himbeerbrause. 🥴 #Fassbrause #Fassbrausengate

For the English-speakers: Fassbrause in Berlin is different to Fassbrause created in former East Germany. To this day, some places sell the 'red' Fassbrause, which is way sweeter and tastes like raspberries. My favourite drink is the Berliner Fassbrause, which is way less sweet and resembles more of an apple taste.

Fassbrause - Wikipedia

@Radgryd Rude of them to take you for a tourist (or otherwise try to pass off the crappy one for the real deal...)
@stonebear2 I don't think they even serve the original one here! 😭 Blasphemy!
@Radgryd Heresy! There needs to be a law about this, like the one about beer...
@stonebear2 Funny you should say that, Fassbrause was created by someone trying to come up with a non alcoholic alternative for beer!
@Radgryd I know! (I just learnt that, but before I commented ...)
@Radgryd Would you say the Berliner Fassbrause is at all similar to something like an Apple Ale? Because I do love me an Apple Ale, and if this is at all similar I'd love to try it out.
@lumiklovstad I've never had an apple ale, but if it's anything like a cider, I'd recommend it! :D
I personally think it doesn't quite taste like apple though. 🤣 The sweetness is a bit less than a cider.
