I'm not a plantologist, so I looked it up, it's literally called a butterfly bush (aka Buddleia).

@spacemagick Our garden was put in by the previous owner, and I'm usually clueless with this sort of thing, just knew it was fairly big and colourful!
Will definitely see if it's possible to take a cutting to establish a few more of them, as it's visible from the lounge and it's nice to see all the butterflies about.

I'd say #buddleja cuttings work about 99% of the time in my experience.
