"DO NOT REMOVE COVER. NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE." Babe you don't know what kind of user I am
@nivex @skye @rey
Later: Let this be the epitaph for my heart

@nivex @skye @rey had that a while back with a lock i bought. "Inward opening doors only!"

2 mins with a screwdriver, and it's outward only. πŸ‘

@skye THIS IS NO PLACE OF HONOUR :') No highly esteemed parts are servicable here!!!

@skye

All parts are serviceable with a soldering iron and dedication.

@bruce @skye a solder-sucker is worth the investment, too.
@skye
"The case is already [crumple sound] open so I [several hammer blows] might as well just have a [screws falling on concrete] quick look"

@skye Reminds me of embarrassing myself as a child.

Was at a friend's place; his father had taken the cover off the TV, and was poking around at the innards.
I expressed concern that there hadn't been time for the capacitors to discharge, and besides, weren't you supposed to leave this kind of thing to qualified professionals?

Bear in mind that this was in the days of CRT TVs, which used the kind of voltages that could thoroughly ruin your day.

"Uhm, he's an electrical engineer, and he does this kind of thing for a living. He's about as qualified as you can get."

I shut up and found something else to pay attention to.

@skye "I service whom and what I please!"
