Bye forever, WeTransfer.
The TOS has been updated in such a sneaky way that it doesn't really say genAI anymore, but it sure still allows genAI and still has the deeply over-reaching IP/licensing clauses

Holy fuck.
Time to delete that shit.
What the fuck.

How can they claim to be secure way to send things to clients when they themselves are stealing it???

@ramiismail.com
Wow. That's a really krude License. Thank yo for publishing.

@ramiismail.com
This is a completely insane license agreement for a file transfer company. Imagine a webhoster acting like that? "Everything you ever upload to our servers we can use forever perpetually as we like, free of charge." Cloud would be dead in a day.

Nevermind that the uploader may not even be in a legal position to grant these rights.

@rlcw @ramiismail.com WeTransfer has been enshittified.
Looking at the Wikipedia article, it seems this is down to the new owners:
“In July 2024 Italian technology company Bending Spoons announced that it would acquire WeTransfer.
“In early September 2024, Bending Spoons' CEO Luca Ferrari announced that WeTransfer would be having layoffs, with 'up to 3/4 of the jobs' likely to be cut.”
I’m deleting my WeTransfer account right now.
@ramiismail.com did they not learn from the Adobe fiasco? This is honestly a very bad move for them
@ramiismail.com We transfer was already extremely poor security wise. So yeah, good that more people is abandoning it.
