After literally months of technical glitches and uncooperative wildlife, I have finally landed a not-too-awful shot of an eastern pygmy possum (Cercartetus nanus) on the camera-trap, captured here in the hollow inside an old burnt-out gum tree - a difficult setting to light.

I was also pleased to stumble across a location where a fallen log was crossing a small creek - the sort of place where wildlife will be funnelled-in to take advantage of the natural bridge across the water-barrier.

I've set-up a trail-camera to test my hypothesis that a range of wildlife will use the log as a bridge. If it proves fruitful, it will be the next location for my camera-trap.

You can see the log and the trail-camera here.
