I am sitting here in #Tübingen while my colleagues @umphy are in the mountains in #Austria (#Inntal) and fly our #multicopter​s with PARASITE payload (running  #NixOS) to do wind and other meteorological measurements. I can fix issues in the software (and the entire OS!) from here, over the internet. I can test my changes in a local VM here and on a spare system next to me, then deploy with one command: nixos-rebuild --target-host …

@umphy  #gitAnnex and  #dataLad organize the data and sync it to our own  #forgejoAneksajo instance. You can instantly see if everything is there and worked. A great workflow!

@dbread @nobodyinperson We could (and did 😉). Our payload is not controlling the flight though (that's via the handheld remote), just the sensors and external addons.
