Unexpectedly, the CSSWG have accepted our proposal for a new <meta name=text-scale> tag!! This will change the initial font size based on the user's text size setting.

Unfortunately it's going to become part of the boilerplate for every website you make! But will really improve a11y, I hope!

@joshtumath Why is it unfortunate that it would be added to boilerplates? Isn’t that the best outcome? 🤔

@doctype_jon I do think it's the best outcome, but it's just a shame that it's yet another thing you have to put in your html to make the web work the way it always should have, like with the meta viewport tag or the doctype.
