EDIT: we found a bed and a dresser!

Hey #pdx friends, I'm trying to find some furniture for a friend who's gonna be living in our basement for a while. Our needs are a bed, table/desk, chair, and dresser. I have like $38 right now or I'd be trying to thrift. Looking for leads and if possible help moving things. We only have access to a tiny car.

@ansate @erin no worries, in my experience, they charge like $500 for a single new bed then you can pick from assorted donated items. I forget the restrictions on the items you can pick from.

@erin Would a Covid-caution-focused Discord server be a good fit for you? If yes, I can ask if I can invite someone I don't know. They do mutual aid and stuff in there.

Clarification: yes it's a Portland server, yes I'm in Salem, there are not a lot of servers for Salem 😭

@erin I have a bunch of stuff in a Hillsboro storage unit that isn’t doing me any good, but I’ve got limited cargo capacity in my C-Max. Queen size bed with futon mattress, kitchen table sized for two, and some bookshelves all available. DM me if you want any/all of it and we can see how to make moving it work.
