More fun graphics on circuit boards please.
Well look at that. It wasn’t too hard at all. Time to charge it up and add some ROMs
Hrmm. Speaker sounded terrible after loading some games so I went to investigate. The front face of the speaker seems to have laminated itself to the printed grille? I printed this a week ago. It wasn’t a hot part. Can a speaker get that hot?
I reassembled speaker-less for now.
@amd it's easy to kill those tiny speakers by just sending a pure square wave at maximum amplitude (hello chiptunes :)
vibrations can do that too if the speaker membrane is touching the grille
also depending on how the sound is amplified, a capacitor should be added to the negative input side, otherwise the speaker could get a biased signal from the amp (especially during silence) that would end up as heat
@Megaboz this is planned to hang out in my bag for little pauses in between my daily routines.
I loaded it up with a bunch of snes and gba classics. I also added a few PS1 games just to see how it performs. It’s basically just pi zero 2w hardware with a fancy hat so I’m not expecting too much.
