Pretty sure this Robert Reich person / bot doesn't care. I've never seen it interact at all, just post screen shots of its Bluesky account or some other stolen posts.
I think there must be multiples, because I seem to keep blocking this.

Lillian Violet@Cassandra @xinit It's not a bot, this is the mastodon account of Robert Reich, former secretary of labor of the US under Bill Clinton. Proof it is him is him linking it from his website. I just think he uses it as a cross post account though, I've also never seen him react to anyone.

His website links to a linktree, which links to all his socials, including Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon. His website also links directly to a few profiles (Mastodon not included). Not linking directly means that any Mastodon profile verification won't work.
Funnily enough, some of his recent posts are posted on Threads and Bluesky as plain text, and posted here as images.
That last bit's the part that really confuses me. Wouldn't it be easier for the human or bot behind the posting to ... just post the text again rather than taking a screenshot and posting that?

It could be a staff member using a 3rd party "post everywhere" tool, but they decided that a rage bait soundbite quote rendered on a red background (with no alt text) is more appropriate for Fedi.
He also has a Spoutible account, still linked from the linktree, which is following zero other accounts. It hasn't made any new posts in more than a year.
But at least his linktree is not linking to a defunct G+ or Hyves profile.

Whatever the choices that lead them here, it's the sort of thing I just block at this point. I'm choosier with my bait these days.

I have a solid "no alt text, no boost" policy. If someone has replied to a toot and provided a good alt text, I'll boost that instead.
I don't follow Reich, but someone that I follow here posts links to his toots (usually with a comment added) every few days.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat - I follow a serial Reich booster, but they boost many actually good things, so I took the path of least pain ;)
