Clear [early 4-track recordings]
by BenoƮt Pioulard
As a sensitive kid in Michigan I often holed up in my room to record on my 4-track; I had a few instruments, multi-FX pedal, $10 Radio Shack microphone, and the anything-can-make-sound ethos of a budding Joe Meek.
In 2001 I collected some of these recordings in an edition of 50 CD-Rs and, while it's an early & rough effort, I feel it has some precocious ideas and still appreciate its unique context in my personal history. Granted, it's more likely a curiosity than a repeat-listen kind of thing but I thought it'd be fun to share near to its 20th (!) anniversary.
tm: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, drums, cymbals, sticks, drum machine, shakers, bells, chimes, prophet-600, ctk-511, zoom 505, record player, television, microphone, voice, ceramics, plug, cassette case, porch, twigs, paper.
