Corel Linux from 1999. It was a Canadian Linux distro by Corel Corp (now Alludo/Cascade Parent Limited). It was clean and easy to use distro based upon Debian and KDE. More about this distro @ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corel_Linux
@nixCraft I remember giving this a spin off a magazine cover disc - quick, easy, clean and intuitive :)
@WillDuckworth @nixCraft The same! I "tried" it for the limited knowing that I had at the time, I was in middle school.
@nixCraft and look - transparency! I think it's definitely apple's inspiration for their recent push towards lets-make-everything-harder-to-read. πŸ˜†
@nixCraft Those where the days ☺️ Corel Linux was a clear sign that 1999 was the year of the Linux Desktop.🀭
@nixCraft Ah the memories... I was a beta tester.
@nixCraft I think this was the first distro to add support for putting the taskbar in the main panel like KDE 2 and later. KDE 1 did not have that by default afaik.
@nixCraft I had this for a while. I think I got a CD of it included when I bought WordPerfect for Linux.
@nixCraft I had this running at some stage! Got the cd from a magazine!
@nixCraft Too bad Microsoft with it's evil tactics conditioned Corel to kill it.
