I'm going to toot my own horn for just a moment!

These are my first teapots since taking Po Wen Liu's workshop, and I can tell my craftsmanship has leveled up. They still need to be decorated and glazed.

i'll never achieve perfection, but the fun is learning and getting better than I was the day before.
Life is like that too :)

@kenSwinson Beautiful shapes.
@nancylwayne Thank you! I can't wait to decorate them.
@kenSwinson teapots are high-level stuff! As is working with porcelain. I'm so glad you had fun and gained some new skills! Your work is amazing to begin with, and these forms look fantastic.

@arisummerland Thank you! There are so many things that need to work in harmony for it to work. a teapot is a true test of a potter's craftsmanship.

I also learned a lot about tea during the workshop, which is it's own art. I'm new to tea, and just starting to explore beyond teabags.

@kenSwinson

Tea and tisanes are an entire world unto themselves! Learning how to mix and brew loose leaf infusions is also an art. It's quite an enjoyable one, for sure.

@kenSwinson Well done! Iโ€™ve yet to try to tackle teapots but itโ€™s something I really want to do at some point. These are gorgeous.
@monkeyninja thank you! You can do it! Practice the different parts (handless, lids, spouts) and then bring it al together.if you can get instruction, it made a big difference for me. Thanks again and good luck!!
@kenSwinson I need to get back in the studio again. This past year I had almost no time for myself and I really miss it.
@kenSwinson Beautiful, clean forms.
@druid thank you! What I *didnt* share is that I attached and removed the handle on the left pot 3 times before I was happy with it. I still think it may be a little too big, but i have to move on.
@kenSwinson so I guess I have to take a long round trip train adventure.
@toddbuddy we have a station nearby!
